Overview

The Fixed Income & Currencies Quantitative Trading team is responsible for the Bank’s electronic liquidity provision of flow products to our global customer base. Products traded include FX spot and forwards; Interest rate swaps; government, corporate, and municipal bonds. The team is broadly responsible for the design of cutting-edge proprietary quantitative models that drive our trading systems, the oversight of day-to-day risk and operations, and the optimization of client liquidity relationships in a data-driven manner.

What You’ll Do

The Trading Quantitative Strategist operates within a front-office, client-aligned environment, directly supporting trading desks with high-impact quantitative expertise. This role is pivotal in driving revenue through real-time pricing, risk management, and strategic decision-making and tightly linked to the commercial success of the trading desk. Work includes:
• Partner with traders to develop and implement pricing models, hedging strategies, and risk analytics.
• Deliver quantitative insights that directly influence trade execution and portfolio performance.
• Contribute to the design and enhancement of trading algorithms and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with technology and data teams to ensure robust model deployment and data integrity.

Skills You’ll Need

  • We look for intelligent and adaptable people with excellent communication skills.
  • Specialist post-graduate degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science, economics or finance.
  • Strong quantitative skills and the ability to express ideas verbally, mathematically and through code is essential.
  • You will already have a record of outstanding academic achievement and you’re eager to continue learning at the same intensive rate. You’ll thrive on working in a highly collaborative environment with some of the best minds in banking.

Expectations

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired in this role will work in the New York, NY office. Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodation to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion. The salary range for this position in New York City is $110,000 to $125,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
