As a Senior Lead Architect within the Corporate Oversight and Governance Technology (COGT) , you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

Job responsibilities

• Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to align on current and future needs and propose technical approaches
• Defines the technical target state for the product and drives execution of the strategy
• Participates in architecture governance bodies and drives architecture alignment and reviews
• Evaluates emerging and leading-edge technologies and influences adoption decisions across peers and stakeholders
• Designs, develops, and troubleshoots creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and performs code reviews and debugging for code written by others
• Identifies and implements automation to eliminate recurring issues, reduce remediation effort, and improve operational stability
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors/startups and internal teams to assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and fit within existing systems
• Drives decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations/processes
• Defines agentic AI architecture Guidelines and partners with Data Science/MLOps to establish model governance guardrails (versioning, drift detection, responsible AI compliance) while fostering an inclusive team culture

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 5+ years of experience as an Application and/or Solution Architect
• Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end system design, application development, testing, and production operations/operational stability
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, with strong hands-on engineering capability
• Strong understanding of software architecture, applications, and technical processes across one or more architecture/engineering disciplines
• Proficient across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including quality and release practices
• Proficiency with automation, continuous delivery, and agile practices including CI/CD
• Strong focus and working knowledge of application resiliency and security principles
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one technical domain (e.g., cloud-native, AI/ML, mobile, etc.), including practical cloud-native experience
• Ability to independently solve complex design and functionality problems with minimal oversight
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and associated IT systems, with a commitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and respectful team culture
