- Processing new marine claims in accordance with Claims Best Practice/SOP, and Letter of Authority.
a) Issue acknowledgement to insured/intermediaries/marketers.
b) Appoint marine surveyors/adjusters as needed.
c) Ensure prompt and accurate claim registration within 5 working days.
d) Ensure claims file creation in Workview.
e) Reserves created in PolisyAsia & Meridian.
f) File all correspondence and documents.
g) Follow up for initial reports from marine surveyor/adjuster/expert.
h) Manage CABFAC/CABCO recoveries for outward placements.
i) Ensure timely issuance of PLAs, RLAs, and SLAs to all following insurers and treaty reinsurers Monitoring the progress of claims
a) Follow up with marine surveyors/adjusters/experts for claim status and reserve updates.
b) Follow up for Preliminary/Status/Final Reports.
c) Remind insured/intermediaries/marketers for outstanding documents/information.
d) Diary/pend outstanding files for monitoring.Claim processing
a) Approve claims within 7 working days upon receipt of all required reports.
b) Ensure fair and timely settlement per marine policy terms and regulatory requirements.
c) Communicate claim decisions (offer/denial) to insured/intermediaries/marketers.
d) Ensure accurate claims payment and proper documentation.
e) Maintain consistency in file status across Workview, PolisyAsia & Meridian.Handling of complaints i.e.
a) Monitor and manage complaints/disputes.
b) Evaluate complaints to reduce recurring service issuesResponding to claims enquiries from claimants, business units, and intermediaries (internal/external calls)
Timely submission of periodic and ad hoc requests for data, analysis and reporting i.e. large loss report to management, monthly XOL report, PIAM Quarterly report etc.
Conduct file review – minimum once a year.

- Preferably with at least 3 years experience in handling Marine claims.
- A degree and preferably with professional insurance qualifications
