Join Morgan Stanley’s Financial Crimes Risk team and play a key role in protecting the Firm from financial crime and reputational risk. As an AML & KYC Risk Manager (VP), you will lead complex Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews, drive risk-based decision-making, and partner with stakeholders across Wealth Management, Compliance, and Financial Crimes to support business growth while maintaining the highest regulatory standards.

What you'll do in the role
Lead complex Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews for high-risk clients across Wealth Management and Banking businesses
Assess AML, KYC, sanctions, and reputational risks associated with new and existing client relationships
Partner with Financial Advisors, Private Bankers, Compliance, and Financial Crimes teams to support client onboarding and ongoing monitoring
Drive key AML and KYC transformation initiatives, process enhancements, and regulatory change projects
Review and escalate financial crime risks, providing recommendations to senior stakeholders
Develop and enhance AML policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Coach and support AML analysts, contributing to a strong risk culture and high-quality decision-making
Analyze trends and emerging risks to strengthen the Firm’s AML control environment
What you'll bring to the role
7+ years of experience in AML, KYC, CDD, EDD, Financial Crime Compliance, or Risk Management
Strong knowledge of AML regulations, KYC requirements, and client due diligence frameworks
Experience managing complex high-risk client reviews and regulatory risk assessments
Strong analytical, investigative, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate confidently in a fast-paced, international environment
ACAMS or a similar AML certification is an advantage
Fluency in Chinese and/or Arabic are desired but not required
